I will understand a smug question of: “So what’s the deal, Roopanand Rick? Alright, we know about your cats Paray, Gypsy, Max, and Dexter, now, what’s up?” Here’s what, fella—they push my right brain to think. You see, animators just love animals. Cuddly creatures, big or small, always have a special place in the artist’s heart. That’s one of the reasons why most cartoons have animal characters. You can make them gentle or fierce, but in films, stories, and graphic drawings, animals remain as loveable creatures.

Children simply love animals. Give me a kid who never grew up watching Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Sesame Street, Snoopy, and yes, Donald Duck, and the rest of the gang at Disney’s world. Today, most of the best animated films are still dominated by animal characters. You can make a long list of thriving animation studios in the world, and they know how big animals are in the business. Well, we can’t just do things without them.

Hey, even Walt Disney was inspired by a mouse he once adopted. Thus, Mickey Mouse was born. Now, every time I look at my cats Paray, Gypsy, Max, and Dexter, I tell myself: “Roopanand Rick, remember what Disney once said?”
“I only hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse.”
Funny, I own cats.
